Is your lunch box safe? Get the facts.

Sadly enough, this is a question that everyone needs to stop and think about. You should know what materials your lunch boxes are made from or be able to research the manufacturer and find out. Lunch boxes that are not clearly marked as BPA free, Lead Free, and PVC free could harm you or your family. In the past several years numerous lunch boxes have been recalled due to potential danger. LunchSaks only reviews SAFE products and offers you all of the tools neccessary to make educated purchases.

As a mother of a young child myself, I know the importance of protecting our children from hidden dangers.

A lot of times, products are not taken off of the market until it is too late and someone has been injured or killed from use. A few years back, a young child died because his mother's tennis shoes had a charm on them that was made with lead. The child had got ahold of the charm as most curious children will do and ended up swallowing it. Lead poisoning spread and by the time the doctors figured out what had happened it was too late.

We need to protect our children, nobody else is going to. It is our responsibility alone to stand up for our rights and not buy products that could potentially harm our loved ones. I created LunchSaks.com as an all in one trustworthy lunch resource. You will find healthy lunch recipes, expert lunch packing tips, and reviews of the very best lunch boxes and gear out there from companies that keep your families well being in mind.

That's A Wrap!

Oh yes, wraps are one of my lunch favs. Quick, easy, healthy, and affordable. The possibilities are limitless. Wraps are great for carb watchers as well. A typical whole grain wrap has 17 grams of carbs versus 40 grams of carbs in two pieces of whole grain bread. The fact that they're quite delicious helps as well!

I can put almost anything in a wrap, call it a burrito and my son will eat it. He's in the dreaded picky eater stage, and at times I can't even get him to eat a simple sandwich. I can take the exact same ingredients, toss them in a wrap and watch him munch it down in minutes. Wraps have become quite the phenomenom in our house, and I will forever be greatful for the new lunch box staple- The Wrap!

~Idea's for wraps~

  -Use leftovers!!

  -beef

  -pork

  -shrimp

  -chicken

  -rice

  -beans

-Cook up chicken or any meat you wish on Sunday night and store it in the fridge for quick access during the week. You can even cook extra and freeze it, then take it out the following Sunday night..So then it would turn into a twice a month thing instead of every Sunday.

•Various Salads are great in wraps as well
